E’ stata rilasciata pochi giorni fa questa nuova versione di deluge, client bittorrent multipiattaforma molto promettente.

Ci si avvicina sempre più alla versione stabile 1.1.0, ma già questa versione è molto più robusta delle precedenti. Le novità introdotte riguardano la blocklist, che adesso supporta anche il formato PeerGuardian Text, e vari bugfix che potete vedere nel changelog ufficiale riportato a fondo pagina.

Come sempre, sono disponibili i vari pacchetti di installazione per le più “importanti” distribuzioni Linux, e li potrete scaricare da qui.

Changelog.

Rilasciata oggi la 1.0.3 di Deluge, noto client BitTorrent. Questa porta con se vari bugfix tra cui l’upnp, messa in pausa e ripresa dei download, filtro IP… Inoltre da adesso, se disponibile, verrà usata la libreria libtorrent di sistema (se presente), altrimenti verrà creata come nelle precedenti release.

Mi accorgo solo oggi, provando ad aggiornare deluge, che i problemi della versione 0.5.8.8 sono stati risolti dalla nuova release di questo client torrent, la 0.5.8.9: il client non crasha più quando si aggiunge un torrent.

Sul sito non vi è ancora traccia di questa nuova versione, quindi almeno per il momento, chi la vuole installare dovrà compilarla da se, scaricandosi il codice sorgente dal trunk SVN. E’ possibile effettuare il download del file di installazione direttamente dal sito ufficiale, oppure scaricare e compilare direttamente da SVN. Per chi non sapesse come fare, tempo fa ho scritto una guida all’installazione di deluge SVN.

Stavo per scrivere riguardo alla nuova versione di deluge, la 0.5.8.8, dei bugfix risolti e quant’altro…invece, mi tocca scrivere di non procedere all’aggiornamento, almeno per il momento.

Il motivo è semplice: a molti utenti l’applicazione crasha non appena la si avvia, e va in segmentation fault quando si aggiunge un torrent ( il problema, sul forum ufficiale ).

Quindi non aggiornate e per chi volesse installare deluge, scarichi la 0.5.8.7
